Dr Jim Wicks is a former Fellow of the University of Cambridge in Physics, a former research fellow at both University College London and the University of Oxford and is currently Managing Director of The Fluid Group.

With a PhD in Physics from Oxford University in 1993, Jim spent 3 years as an academic at University College London, folllowed by spells at the University of Kent at Canterbury and the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge before joining a major UK company to lead a team of CFD modellers.

After 7 years in the commercial arena he joined The Fluid Group, destined to be the best industrial fluid modelling company in the UK. As well as his role as Director of The Fluid Group, Jim is available as an Expert Witness to the Chemical and Water Industry on matters relating to modelling, flow and fluid dynamics.

A specialist in CFD and fluid physics, Jim has a long history of working in a range of diverse projects.

Jim is registered with the Society of Expert Witnesses and can be contacted in strict confidence about any potential or ongoing litigation requiring expert support.
